Independent Sexual Violence Advisory Service.
Are you unsure of how to report a sexual assault, or what might happen next?
The ISVAs (Independent Sexual Violence Advisors) are here to support everyone thinking about what to do after surviving sexual abuse or rape.
We are here to support survivors in whatever decision they take, whether they report to the Police or not.
The service is confidential and is here to be an independent voice with knowledge of a world not experienced by most people before. ISVAs are not here to make decisions for a survivor but to explain the options and processes
to help them make a decision that is best for them.
If a survivor does report, then we help them navigate through the criminal justice process from start to finish.
Our entire ISVA team receive regular ongoing clinical supervision to protect their own wellbeing and to ensure that an appropriate level of service is maintained.
All of our ISVA team are fully accredited by either Lime Culture (UK’s leading sexual violence training and consultancy organisation) or by Rape Crisis England and Wales.
The ISVA team can be contacted on 01227 826 900 or alternatively you can email isva@ekrcc.org.uk
Service users will be contacted by the ISVA Team within 48 hours.
