How to Report

Call 999 or 112 from a mobile

You can call 101

Go to your local police station

Ask someone to report on your behalf such as a friend or GP

You can report anonymously
(However, in order for the police to investigate the offence, they would need your personal details)

Unless you are reporting anonymously, the police will ask for your name, where you live and information about the offence.

It is not uncommon for rape and sexual assault to be reported days, weeks, months or years after it happened. No matter how long ago it happened, you can still report to the police at any time if you would like to. This should not affect how they treat you and your report will still be taken seriously.
