About Us

Who We Are

East Kent Rape Crisis Centre is a registered charity made up of trained professionals & volunteers providing a safe space to everyone affected by any kind of sexual violence or coercion, experienced at any time during their lives.

All our services are open to everyone. We also support family and friends.

We offer emotional and practical support in the form of face to face counselling, therapeutic crisis interventions, support through the criminal justice system and support and crisis phone lines.

Our services

EMOTIONAL AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT FROM PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND YOUR SITUATION.

The purpose of East Kent Rape Crisis Centre is to provide immediate, empathetic and helpful support to anyone who requires it. We provide a platform for people of any age, gender, race, religion, orientation or identity to seek counselling and assistance, whether you have been affected by sexually abusive behaviour in the past, or are continuing to experience it.

 Our vision

Our ultimate goal is to create a community where women and girls are free from all forms of sexual violence. We want to achieve this by working within a feminist framework that allows change to be driven by equal human rights for everyone.

 Our mission

  • Respond to and promote the needs of those who have suffered sexual violence through the empowering feminist model of work
  • Reduce the impact of sexual violence by supporting, educating, informing and advocating for all survivors
  • Challenge oppression in all forms
  • Challenge societal attitudes that condone and collude with sexual violence

We are delighted to share that we have achieved full Lime Culture accreditation of our ISVA and Children's ISVA services. This independent accreditation ensures that we are achieving the necessary quality standards required for a consistent and effective ISVA service.
